About the Author
Lauren K. Waller is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She received her education from Lipscomb and Tennessee State Universities. As a child, Lauren experienced challenges in reading. As an adult, she has turned those challenges into a deep passion to erase illiteracy amongst marginalized children; recognizing that the ability to read and express yourself through words ultimately builds self-esteem and assurance. Lauren is an advocate for children’s education and plans to implement the development of self-confidence in children by creating platforms for them to “Think”, “Create”, “Write” and “Express” outside the box. Lauren’s journey will continue in writing more children’s books and developing a foundation that will support educational initiatives and programs to eradicate illiteracy, especially in the underserved communities.
Lauren is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and has remained living there to date.
